Daniel is a “triple Hokie” having earned a B.A. degree in History from Virginia Tech in 2013 and then two Masters degrees from Virginia Tech in 2017 from both the School of Education and Department of History. He joined the Engineering Education department as an Academic and Career advisor in 2017.

As a graduate student Daniel completed teaching internships in local Montgomery County high schools and was also instructor of his own undergraduate class at Virginia Tech. One of his favorite experiences as a graduate student was acting as a graduate teaching assistant in the History Department’s First-Year Experience Course where he helped freshmen students transition into college and also created opportunities for students to begin completing their own historical research within their first semester.

Daniel was a first-generation college student and is passionate about helping his students develop and succeed.
