A Path to the ASEE Presidency

Dr. Bevlee Watford became the first African-American female president of the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) in June 2017. In this seminar, she will discuss the path that led her into this historic role for the society. 

Dr. Watford is the associate dean for academic affairs in the College of Engineering at Virginia Tech. She is also the founding director of the Center for the Enhancement of Engineering Diversity and director of the Ware Lab.

Dr. Watford earned all of her degrees from Virginia Tech's College of Engineering (BS Mining Engineering, MS, and Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research).
