We seek to facilitate communication among researchers from different disciplines and to recognize and maintain lists of IDR researchers on campus. By doing this we aim to promote IDR and to increase the number of IDR funded projects available on campus.
Underlying our mission statement is our unique definition of interdisciplinarity, which is “The process of answering a question, solving a problem, or addressing a topic that cannot be dealt with adequately by a single discipline and draws on the ensemble of a disciplines defining elements and integrates the insights to produce a more comprehensive understanding or cognitive advancement.”
