Academy of Distinguished Alumni

The Department of Engineering Education established the Academy of Distinguished Alumni in 2025 under the leadership of Department Head Jenni Case and the Advisory Board of the Department of Engineering Education.

This honorary academy recognizes alumni who have a sustained record of visible, impactful work in advancing engineering education. Membership of this academy is open to qualified living alumni of the College of Engineering at Virginia Tech, including, but not limited to, alumni holding the Ph.D. in Engineering Education.

The purpose of the academy is to highlight contributions in engineering education that positively impact students, faculty, and society, showcasing these individuals as exemplars of success and as beacons of inspiration.
